Nohegan 2009 was a very special one day event that took place at McKinney State Falls on July 26, 2009. There was a birthday party for Nancy and a special memorial for Bob Anderson.

Decorate the Talent Show Stage

Help construct a beautiful backdrop for our evening talent show. Sheets, paint and other supplies/junk provided.

11AM

"Nohegan: Build-A-Shirt" with Karen Hansen.

It's going to be a play on the "Build-A-Bear" concept (like how you have to choose a heart and make a wish, etc.) I'll provide washed old t-shirts, stencils, spray paint, clothesline and pins, and cardboard to put under shirts to keep ground/area clean.

NOON

“Friendly Forest” with Amanda Joy

Make or paint facial features on rocks then go out and put them in/on nature and take some pictures.

1PM

“Make & Mail a Post Card” with Josh Rios and Deanna Renee Ledezma

Dee and Josh will help you make and mail a post card, so come with an address and a few choice words. We'll bring some paints and brushes and supply stamps and a postcard to be designed by the participating audience. Make a card, write a note, put an address on it, and we will mail it.

“How to Attend Art Gallery Exhibition Openings” (Based on Instructions from Ehow.com) with Carolyn Porter

Participants will use ehow.com's "How to Attend an Art Gallery Opening"pages to learn about art gallery openings' rules and etiquette. A mock gallery opening will conclude the workshop, giving participants a valuable opportunity to polish their new skills.
